So, as many people know, I love my nail polish. I also take very good care of my nails and cuticles.



Well, I try on the cuticles. Sometimes I get so busy with life that I forget to deal with them properly. Throwing some hand lotion on does not constitute taking care of them. So, they've turned into a hot mess as of late. BUT!



I found the BEST product to fix cuticles that are gross nasty. Burt's Bees "Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream". It smells amazing and after two uses, I can see a huge difference. Something I rarely saw with my oil of choice. Plus, the can is small enough to fit in my purse and I can use it when they get dry during the day. I think it was 6 bucks at Walmart. I found it over in the same aisle as the hair dye. I'm sure if you don't have a tiny Wallyworld, it will be near the lotions or nail stuff.



Just in case anyone is curious, my other "treatments" of choice are:

Seche Vite for top coat. Amazing stuff.

I also like to use Zoya Armour for when I have already dry nails. Mainly to freshen up a mani. Seche Vite is applied while the nails are wet. Once your nails are dry, if you use it, it will shrink your polish.

For my basecoat, I use CND Sticky. I love saying it, and it works really well. When I don't wear any polish, I use a coat of Orly Nail Defense. Just to keep them nice looking.



But yeah. Get the good smelling stuff. It's all natural and works awesome. :D



It has me craving lemonade. If it wasn't so cold outside, I'd be all for getting some of that...

Might have to just heat up some honey and lemon. Can't hurt to soothe my voice a bit.

So this month I'm doing a nail art challenge. Considering my skills with nail art are somewhat lacking, this will be fun. The first challenge on the list is "Horror Movie".







I was aiming for blood splatter. I also did a really crappy clean up job. This was a messy mani. It involved me dipping the end of a straw in polish and blowing it on my nail. I need to remember to tape my nails off next time....
